Middle of Third term 2015/2016

We give praise, glory and honour to the Most High God for His abundant blessings, mercies and grace to see the middle of this term.

We sincerely, appreciate you, our ever reliable parents/guardians for all your supports, patronage and prompt payment of your children’s/wards’ school fees. We pray that the Almighty God will continue to meet all your needs. Amen.

 

Kindly take note of the following important information:  

 

1.0       2016 NECO’s Interview Test: The interview for those who qualified for the written interview test will come up on Saturday, 18th of June 2016. Each of the qualified candidates for the interview is expected to pay the sum of N5,000.00 (five thousand naira) to the accounts’ department on or before Friday 3rd of June 2016. The online registration and movement of candidates to the venue of the interview will be handled by the school.

 

2.0       School Fees: Parents/Guardians who are yet to pay the balance of their children’s/wards’ school fees for   the term are expected to do so with immediate effect. Defaulters will NOT be allowed into the school premises from WEDNESDAY, 1st of June 2016. Cash payment will not be entertained in the school. All payments should be at the banks and tellers brought to the school for their official receipts. Evidence of bank transfer MUST be forwarded/brought to the school before receipt can be issued.

 

3.0       Home Work/Experience Sheet and Mid-term Assignments/Projects: We give assignments/   homework to our pupils EVERYDAY. Parents/Guardians are to assist their children/wards in doing these. All Mid-term Assignments and Projects are to be completed and returned to the school on Tuesday, 31st of May 2016.

 

4.0       Cultural Day Celebration and Open Day: These important programmes will come up on    Wednesday,1st of             June 2016.

            Cultural Day Celebration:                 10:00am – 12:noon

            Open Day:                                          12:01pm – 3:00pm

            Note: Delicious African meals will also be on display and available for sale.

No elective on this day. Parents are free to take their children after observing these programmes. All pupils are expected to put on traditional dresses for the Cultural Day Celebration.      

 

5.0       Red Cross Inauguration/Enrolment: Our school’s Red Cross Society will be formally inaugurated/  enrolled on Friday, 1st July, 2016. Parents of all registered members of the society are cordially invited to the ceremony. Time: 12noon – 1:30pm

 

6.0       Mid Term Break: The school’s mid-term break comes up between Thursday 26th and Monday, 30th of             May 2016. Day pupils are expected back in school on Tuesday 31st of May 2016.

Boarders will resume on Monday, 30th of May, 2016. (between 2:00pm and 6:00pm).

 

7.0       2016 NAPPS Children’s Day: This is to inform our parents / guardians that some selected pupils from Primaries 2 to 6 will be representing the school at the annual NAPPS (National Association of  Proprietors of Private Schools) Children’s Day Celebration which will come up on Friday, 27th May, 2016 at the Agege Township Stadium. The event will take place between 8:00am and 3:30pm. The parents/guardians of the affected / selected pupils are to pick up their children’s/ wards in the school by 4:00pm prompt.

 

8.0       General P.T.A Meeting: This term’s general P.T.A meeting will come up on Saturday, 2nd of July 2016. All our new and old parents are cordially invited to this important meeting.

Time: 9:00am prompt.                      Venue: Primary Hall.

 

9.0       Common Entrance Saturday Coaching: This is to notify parents/ guardians of all primaries 5 and 6 pupils that we have stopped the Common Entrance lesson as from Saturday, 21st of May 2016.  We are using this medium to appreciate all the parents/guardians of our pupils who attended the 7 months long coaching classes for their supports and encouragement. We pray that you will eat the fruits of your labour. Amen.

10.0     Summer Tour 2016: This is to inform our dear parents/ guardians that the school’s management is working with some credible institutions to organise an interesting foreign summer tour for our pupils during the long vacation to any of these countries: Ghana, South Africa, Canada, United Kingdom and U.SA. Interested parents/guardians are to contact the Office of the Headteacher for details and requirements as soon as             possible.

 

11.0     Summer School / Holiday Coaching; This is to notify you, our dear parents / guardians that the 2016 Five weeks Intensive Summer School / Holiday Coaching will come up between Monday, 25th of July and Wednesday, 24th of August 2016. The lessons will be child centred and activities based. Classes are also      available for pupils with writing and reading challenges / difficulties.

            Classes: Playgroup – Primary 6

            Lesson Fee: N15,000.00

            Time: 9:00am – 1:00pm daily.

 

12.0     Condition for Promotion: This is to remind all our dear parents and guardians that a pupil is expected to pass English Studies, Mathematics and score more than 50% Average for the child to be considered for             promotion to his/her next class. We sincerely appeal to parents to work closely with the school in order for us to  achieve our target of producing a total child.

           

13.0     After School/ Late Pick up Time / Penalty: Parents/Guardians are encouraged to pick their children within 30minutes of closing. The pupils whose parents/guardians do not comply will be transferred to after school care room till 5:45pm and thereafter to the school’s hostel where they will be adequately catered for at a cost of One thousand, five hundred naira (N1,500) till they are picked up/collected. The due bill becomes payable when the child is booked (Even when the child is only there for a second). Those not picked up till the following morning (8:00am) will pay additional One thousand naira (N1,000). Use of this service is not encouraged.   

           

14.0     Withdrawal: Parents withdrawing their children from the school MUST give one term’s notice or pay a term’s fee in lieu of notice. (Refer to the school’s prospectus for more information).

 

15.0     Birthday Celebration: Pupils are not allowed to eat any item from their birthday packs. Gift   items/party packs MUST be taken home for their parents/guardians to decide on what they want their children/wards to eat.

            Note: NO COOKED FOOD AND ICE CREAM PLEASE. 

 

16.0     Special Information: Parents/Guardians are not allowed to visit our classrooms EXCEPT on Open Days/Visiting Days and on special approval of the Headteacher. This is to avoid distractions during lessons. Also, due to security situation in the country, parents picking up their children would be allowed     into the school premises 15-20minutes before closing. They are to remain in their vehicles while waiting to         pick-up their children/wards at closing and vacate the school premises immediately.

 

17.0     Electives’ Uniforms: All clubs’ uniforms are available for sale in the school. Members need the             costumes/uniforms in order to take part in all the relevant activities.

            The cost is listed below:

            Boys Scout / Brownies                                  –           N5,000

            Red Cross                                                      –           N5,000

            Karate                                                             –           N5,000

            Ballet (Rehearsal and presentation)             –           N7,500
